June 23rd, 2012 will see the Park City Reunion at Park Place Condominiums which was previously Park Junior High School. The residents there have graciously invited us to have our event there. Only 200 spaces are available so they will go out to the ones of us that have been attending the reunion over the past two years. Then we will open it up to others. The food is being catered from Famous Dave's Barbeque. Desserts and chips/dip can be brought by anyone that would like to bring something. A photographer will be on premises that day and will take lots of photos that will be available for purchase on CDs.
A lot of planning is going into this event and we hope it will be well received by everyone.

June 23rd, 2012. This will be our biggest event ever. It is to be held at Park Place Condominiums which was originally Park Junior High School. We only have space for 200 people so our regulars will have the first spots available. After they have rsvp'd to us then we'll see how many spaces we have left so we can open it up to others that have gone to Park Junior in the fifties and sixties. Some of the students went on to East High School and others went to Fulton High School. We hope it will be lots of fun!!

Saturday, June 23rd, Park Junior High School around 12 or 12:30 is our next reunion. Food will be catered and the cost will be around $7 each. Although Park Jr is no longer a school but is now condominiums, we will go on tours through some of the condos and will be told the history (what room is was, etc). The committee went to meet with a resident a couple of weeks ago and their condo is beautiful! It is the old office and the Principal's office and was breathtakingly beautiful. The tours will be in smaller groups not all at once. We will need RSVP if you are attending because of the catering so we will know how much to order. This will be one of the biggest events of the Park City Reunion so try to attend if you can. Just let me know if you are attending! This is a gated community now so you will have to be allowed in. (We will have someone working the gate). Just tell them you are with the reunion. Hope to see all Park Jr students attend!!

June 23rd Reunion

Okay...plans are underway for the reunion to be held at Park Junior High School! It will be Saturday, June 23rd starting around 11:30 and lasting until around 4 or 5 pm. The building is now condominiums but some of the gracious owners are allowing tours through the units. There are a total of 41 units in the building. Several of us went there on Tuesday, April 17th and walked the area to see how to plan everything. The food will be catered and set up outside in the back of the building (unless it rains and then it will be held in the old gym, which looks exactly the same). The courtyard is open also...remember the school is built in a square with the courtyard in the center but we were never allowed to go into the area then. It is beautiful. The unit we toured on Tuesday is absolutely beautiful, it is the old office and the Principals office and a couple of more rooms. I loved going through it and even though it is different, it still looks the same and brings back a lot of memories. Try to attend this one even if you haven't come to any of the others, this will be so special.
We thank John and Cynthia Stancil for arranging this for us and being a big part of us now. Even though they did not grow up in Park City, they live there now on Washington Avenue in Judge Pollard's old house.
